Spanish Super Cup: Barça qualifies for the final and awaits Real
Carried by its young prodigies Gavi and Lamine Yamal, FC Barcelona qualified on Wednesday January 8 for the final of the Spanish Super Cup at the expense of Athletic Bilbao (2-0) and is now awaiting its opponent.

Well served behind by his left side Alejandro Baldé, the young Spanish midfielder found the net for the first time since his serious knee injury in November 2023 and opened the scoring by concluding a beautiful collective movement (17e1-0), before perfectly serving his younger brother Lamine Yamal, author of a sequence full of composure to make the break (53e2-0).
The Basque team, which remained undefeated for fifteen matches, believed to return to the match twice but the goals of Oscar De Marcos (82e) et Inaki Williams (87e) were ultimately disallowed for offside.
Barça will face on Sunday January 12 the winner of the second semi-final between Real Madrid and Mallorca on Thursday January 9 (8:00 p.m.) in this competition relocated to Saudi Arabia, in Jeddah.
