The Morocco team qualified for the semi-finals of the Kings League World Cup on Wednesday after beating the United States team. The Moroccan team secured their victory in a penalty shootout after a 7-7 draw with the United States.

Morocco wasted no time and took the lead in the first minute with a goal from Nader Louah. However, the United States responded with a series of three goals in just eight minutes. Morocco managed to reduce the gap thanks to an own goal from the American team. The first half ended with American domination (5-2).

In the second half, Morocco made an impressive comeback. Fouad El Amrani scored in the 22nd minute, followed by Achraf Saoud’s goal four minutes later. El Amrani found the net once again, but the United States maintained its lead by adding two more goals. Refusing to back down, Louah scored twice: 7-7 at the end of regulation time. The thrilling match ultimately went to penalties, where Morocco emerged victorious.

In the semi-finals, Morocco will face Colombia who beat Uzbekistan.

The Kings League, a seven-a-side football league in Spain established in 2022, is making a splash on social media with the introduction of an innovative football format.

The league was created by former Barcelona central defender Gerard Piqué, who teamed up with 12 leading Spanish-speaking content creators to create an interactive tournament open to the public and which features very different rules from traditional football.

The competition is broadcast on platforms like Twitch and YouTube. The Kings League World Cup consists of 16 teams of 7 players. Matches are played in two 20-minute halves, and before each match, teams choose one of five single-use secret golden cards.
