The development work on the Grand Stade de Tangier is progressing. A working meeting was held to take stock of the state of play on this site on Tuesday in Tangier. This meeting took place in the presence of the Wali of the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, Younès Tazi, the president of the board of directors of the National Society for the Development and Management of Stadiums (SONARGES), Youssef Belqasmi, the director of the National Agency for Public Facilities, a number of regional managers and company managers responsible for carrying out development work.
The meeting, followed by a field visit, was an opportunity to inquire about the progress of the planned work. According to those responsible, the project is progressing “at a good pace and is being completed “on time, in full compliance with the standards of the FIFA 2030 specifications”.
The project will notably make it possible to strengthen the capacity of the enclosure with the removal of the athletics track and the construction of new stands. A metal roof will also cover the stands, while other technical installations will be carried out.
