Sports practice is a right for everyone. And the City of Marseille is fully involved in the Inclusive Club program, which supports and raises awareness among sports associations about welcoming all audiences.
So far, 31 sports associations have benefited from this program. Each session represents a budget of 6,000 euros, covered by the City of Marseille. With the January 2025 session, the City will have invested 24,000 euros in this system.
Support for six months
Each session offers a series of modules intended for leaders and/or supervisors of sports associations. These modules consist of practical and theoretical training sessions, in person and remotely.
The clubs then benefit from individualized support for six months, provided by field workers.
This support covers three main themes:
- the establishment of one or more practice slots (dedicated or shared);
- the search for practitioners;
- the search for financing and equipment.
Promote equal access to sports practices
The City of Marseille works to allow all Marseillaises to practice a sporting activityby accessing a varied offer, within quality infrastructures and accessible to everyone throughout the territory.
The City of Marseille is therefore committed to:
- Continue to make municipal sports facilities accessible
- Create appropriate means of information and communication
- Support sports clubs in the development of sports and disability practices
