Much in demand by the Mexican media upon his arrival at the airport, César Huerta spoke for the first time about his transfer to Sporting Anderlecht. The winger from Pumas has a lot of gratitude towards the Brussels club.
A little late, due to a death in his family, César Huerta left Mexico and flew to Anderlecht. Upon his departure, at the airport, the new Mauves winger was heavily solicited by the Mexican media. He spoke about his big departure for Europe.
“They came to see me in Mexico and invited me to come visit the facilities. From the first contacts, they made me feel that they were really interested in me,” he said.
However, leaving Pumas and his homeland was not an easy decision. “I am extremely grateful to Pumas for everything they did for me. They believed in me when no one else did.”

Arriving at Lotto Park, César Huerta sees the possibility of realizing the Mexican footballer’s dream in Europe. “I don’t feel any pressure, but a lot of responsibility,” he said. “After having evolved under the sun, I am now heading towards cold Belgium.”
“If Mexican players succeed in Europe, they can open the doors to the next generation,” he concluded, with the undisguised desire to prove himself in Belgium in order to continue his development towards the top.
