The president sees in him the embodiment of Saint-Etienne valueswith its “rigorous work ethic” and his intensive approach of the game. Horneland advocates a style of play technical and committedbased on possession and pressure, allowingmake the most of individual qualities players.
An ambitious long-term vision
Beyond the short term, Gazidis seems to have long term goals with Horneland. He sees in himself the ideal coach to breathe a new dynamic and demanding working methods within the club. This appointment marks the start of a new cycle for ASSE, with the stated ambition of returning to the top and meeting the expectations of supporters.
