Ecuadorian golfer Daniela Darquea won the “Lalla Aïcha Tour School” qualifying event for the “Ladies European Tour” (LET) on Friday in Marrakech.
During a hotly contested final, the 28-year-old Ecuadorian golfer took first place with -24 under Par, followed by the Welsh Darcey Harry (-23) and the German Polly Mack (- 21). More than 300 players from 42 countries took part in the “Lalla Aïcha Tour School” with the aim of entering the top 20, in order to have full playing rights on the “Ladies European Tour” for the season 2025.
In a statement to the press, Daniela Darquea expressed her joy at having managed to win her card for the European Tour next year, noting that the competition was intense especially since the players were well prepared for this tournament.
The Ecuadorian golfer also highlighted the quality of the sports and accommodation infrastructure in Marrakech, expressing her wish to repeat this unforgettable experience in Morocco.
In a similar statement, Darcey Harry stressed that the competition was tough, from the first to the last round, noting that she played better during the first rounds, which allowed her to approach the final with a lot of confidence.
These LET qualifications, played from December 16 to 20, once again confirm the place of Morocco and the ocher city as an essential destination for international golf competitions.
This major sporting event highlights the excellence of Moroccan courses and their capacity to host world-class events.
