13 French people will be at the start of the 2024-2025 Tour de Ski which begins this weekend in Toblach. The most versatile have been selected with a first coming for Léonie Perry.
Seven events between Toblach and Val di Fiemme, straddling the years 2024 and 2025. The emblematic Tour de Ski returns for a new edition and 13 French people have been selected, as indicated by the French Ski Federation this Monday. Eight men will be in the running, the most complete are brought to Italy. Lucas Chanavat, double winner in the sprint during the last Tour de Ski, will obviously be there with Jules Chappaz and Richard Jouve. Winner at the start of 2024 at Alpe Cermis, Jules Lapierre will also be there with Hugo Lapalus, 3rd overall in the Tour de Ski. Mathis Desloges, Sabin Coupat and Remi Bourdin are also lined up.
Five women including a new one, Claudel injured
A cross-country skier will discover the World Cup during the Tour de Ski. The skier from Bressaude, Léonie Perry, 20, is one of the five French women selected. She obtained good results in the FESA Cup this December and was rewarded. Flora Dolci will be the leader of the team, at the age of 25. She will be accompanied by sprinter Lena Quintin, Mélissa Gal and Bornandine Julie Pierrel. Note the absence of Delphine Claudel, 3rd at Alpe Cermis last season. The Vosgienne is announced injured and does not yet know her return date.
