FIFA and Netflix have signed an unprecedented agreement concerning the exclusive rights to the 2027 and 2031 editions of the FIFA Women's World Cup™ on the territory of the United States. This announcement is historic in every way for women's Football.
The Women's World Cup will thus be the first sporting competition acquired in its entirety by Netflix, which further establishes the competition as the largest women's sporting event in the world, while providing a unique platform for promoting football.
This historic agreement will allow American fans to benefit from unparalleled access to all live matches of what promises to be a huge celebration of women's football, as well as immersive coverage including in-studio broadcasts. Also including Puerto Rico and covering all languages, it will highlight the best talents through a dual broadcast in English and Spanish in the United States.

After FIFA's decision to enter into an exclusivity agreement with Netflix, the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027™ and the 2031 FIFA Women's World Cup™ are expected to reach an even larger audience and set new benchmarks for interactions on American soil. The next edition, which will be held in Brazil from June 24 to July 25, 2027, will see the 32 best national teams from around the world compete for the supreme title. It will be up to the FIFA Congress to designate, in due time, the host country(ies) of the 2031 edition.
In addition to its live coverage, Netflix will produce an exclusive docuseries in the months leading up to both events to highlight the best female footballers on the planet, their respective journeys to the top level and the global growth of their sport.
