The infirmary is gradually emptying in Anderlecht. David Hubert took stock at a press conference.
Will David Hubert one day be able to count on his entire core? If it will be difficult before the end of the year, the Anderlecht coach is still satisfied with the evolution of the last days of several players.
Starting with Tristan Degeverabsent for two weeks: “He trained with us all week, so it smells good.” Same enthusiasm regarding Killian Sardella, injured for a month: “He is also on his way back, he was able to participate in a majority of the training sessions. We will see, perhaps it is a little too early for him on Sunday”.
No risks with Jan Vertonghen and Thorgan Hazard
David Hubert also addressed the long-term injured, including Thorgan Hazard : “He is in his transition times, unfortunately the match against Deinze (with the RSCA Futures in D1B) was canceled, it was the objective that he played his first minutes at that time. He is training really good, I hardly see any discomfort in his movements anymore.”
But there's no point in rushing his return to a match with the first team: “We still have one day of training, we'll see, but I don't think so yet.”
The coach wants to be just as cautious regarding the Jan Vertonghen case: “There is no return date. But he is regularly on the pitch, it's nice to see.”
