While no further details have emerged, Moudrik faces a four-year suspension, as provided by the British anti-doping agency UK Anti-Doping under World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) guidelines. When there is no intention to cheat, and depending on whether there was serious negligence or not, the sanction can be reduced to two years or less. Recruited in January 2023 for 100 million euros including bonus and with an eight and a half year contract initialed in favor of the Blues, Mykhaïlo Moudrik has still not convinced across the Channel.
