Johnson was suspended after a win against the New York Giants. The Ravens said Monday that the team and Johnson had “mutually agreed” that he would have to sit out practice this week.
The Ravens must win against the Pittsburgh Steelers this Saturday to preserve their hopes of retaining the title in the North section of the American Association. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh declined to say Monday whether he expects to see Johnson back in the team’s entourage next week.
Maryland acquired Johnson from the Carolina Panthers in October, but the 28-year-old wide receiver caught just one pass in four games.
