The Minnesota Wild have just made a personnel move by sending veteran center, Devin Shore, on waivers this afternoon.
In 12 games this year, Shore has yet to score a single point while posting a +1 rating, but in the American League with the Iowa Wild, he has fared much better, with 2 goals and 10 points in 14 games.
A 2nd round pick of the Stars in 2012, Shore may not be a very well-known player, but he has built a great career in the NHL with now 455 games of experience between the Stars, Ducks, Blue Jackets, the Oilers, the Kraken and finally the Wild.
Although he has played 455 games in the NHL, Shore is a 13th forward since leaving Dallas. He is often the first to take the place of an injured player, but he has never managed to establish himself as a regular player.
At 30 years old, he still has good years ahead of him and could help a team looking for depth at center.
The Wild have been one of the best teams in the NHL since the start of the season. After 31 games, they are 20-7-4 and 44 points. They are just one point behind the Winnipeg Jets for first place in the Central Division.
