The 20-year veteran has collected 50 points in 31 games so far. He notably hit the target 25 times, which places him second in the QMJHL in this regard.
To obtain the left winger, the Océanic gave up their first, second, third, fourth and sixth round picks in the next Cecchini circuit draft. The Bas-Saint-Laurent team also obtained the second round choice from the Armada.
Fauchon therefore concludes his career with the Basses-Laurentides team as the best scorer in the history of the concession. Drafted by Blainville-Boisbriand in the first round (10th overall) of the 2020 auction, the Lévis native scored 97 goals and provided 123 assists for 220 points in 226 games with the Armada.
“Jonathan was an extraordinary player for us for four and a half years. We have seen him evolve as an individual and as a hockey player since he was 16. After everything he has done for the organization, offering him the opportunity to participate in the Memorial Cup was something that we had to consider, since it could be beneficial for the rest of his career,” indicated the Director General of Armada, Olivier Picard, in a press release.
A defender for the Remparts
On the Remparts side, the Quebec club acquired Cape Breton Eagles defender Étienne Desjardins.
The Red Devils gave up a second-round pick in 2026 to get their hands on the 18-year-old left-handed guard.
In 31 games so far in 2024-25, Desjardins has amassed one goal and four points.
