Michael Johnson marked his thirtieth fight in the UFC with a resounding victory, defeating his opponent of the day, Ottman Azaitar by KO in the first round. The clash, which took place on Saturday, ended in a brutal and decisive manner, inflicting a difficult defeat on Azaitar.
The fight shifted to rapid and strategic action. Azaitar, opting for an aggressive attack, ran into Johnson’s control. The latter exploited every opening offered by his opponent, stringing together precise counters before placing a devastating right hook that hit Azaitar square in the chin.
The blow was so violent that Azaitar immediately collapsed, unconscious. Michael Johnson continued with ground strikes before referee Jason Herzog stepped in to end the fight after just two minutes and three seconds.
