Anderlecht travels to Sint-Truiden this Sunday for an always tricky match. But for the occasion, the Mauves can count on a comeback… and on Yari Verschaeren!
After RSC Anderlecht’s trip to Slavia Prague, we feared the worst for Yari Verschaeren, who came out at the break with a shoulder injury. While he returned in very good form, “The Kid” seemed to potentially have to miss several matches, or even not play again in 2024.
But the results of the scan passed by Verschaeren immediately came back with good news: the small tear suffered in the collarbone was much less serious than feared in Anderlecht. It remained to be seen whether David Hubert would take him to Stayen.
The answer is… yes! Yari Verschaeren is one of the players selected by the Sporting coach for this STVV-Anderlecht. Perhaps, however, he will not start, and Hubert will opt for a reinforced midfield with Leoni, Dendoncker and Rits. Note that Tajaouart, already present in Prague, is still being taken over.
Ahead, another option is back. Samuel Edozie is also present, after two weeks of absence due to an ankle injury. Edozie had missed the two European matches against Porto and Slavia.
The probable eleven:
Coosemans / N’diaye – Zanka – Simic – Foket / Leoni – Dendoncker – Rits / Amuzu – Dolberg – Dreyer
