We feel as a competitor that you are disappointed by the team’s results?
Yes, absolutely. We cannot be satisfied with only winning three matches out of nine when we could have managed at least two others against Roche-Vendée and Tarbes. Afterwards, we are also only one victory away from eighth qualifying place for the play-offs.
You seem to have found your place straight away at the LBB?
I feel very good, indeed, within the group and within the club for that matter. By coming to Landerneau, I made a purely sporting choice and I am not disappointed. Here, we have a solid collective base and strong players, all capable of making a difference individually.
In terms of statistics, are you within your standards (11 points, 2.2 assists and 2.2 rebounds)?
Let’s say that I’m in the nails which was not easy when you come out of an injury. But, I think that it is by working hard and taking on heavy training loads that we will be able to maintain ourselves. This upstream work will pay off in the second round of the championship.
You play Bourges then Charnay to finish the first leg…
We’re not going to hide our faces: it’s heavy. But, we have got into the habit of playing match by match, even if it is the leader of the championship who is opposite. It’s still five against five.
No play-downs for the LBB this year?
There are quite a few girls on the team who have already played them and who don’t want to go back at all. If we manage to gain consistency to erase our air gaps in matches, we must secure the top 8. We must raise our ambitions.
