Founded by Rugby players from FC Auch at the end of their careers in the 1960s, the Armagnac Lions club continues to take to the pitches in a friendly and good-natured spirit.
The Lions d’Armagnac are a rugby alumni club founded in 1963 by FC Auch players who were at the end of their careers and wanted to continue playing and share moments of conviviality. Moreover, their motto is: “cultivating friendship through rugby” and, to this day, “we are the oldest alumni club in France”.
Big names have worn the Lions jersey like Jean Le Droff, Doudou Justumus, Jacques Fouroux, André Daguin, Poudensan, Fouga, and more recently Henry Pujos, Alain Anty, Jean Gras, Jean Brouqueyre and many others. The current president is Jean-Louis Gaussens, former leader of the FCAG in the 90s.
