Place de la Palud takes on the colors of the Women’s Euro
The population will be able to watch the draw for the 2025 European Women’s Football Championship live on a giant screen.

On Monday, the sound and light projection on the Town Hall will temporarily give way to an animation linked to Euro 2025 women’s football.

On Monday, December 16, at 6 p.m., the draw for the Women’s Euro 2025 football tournament will take place at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne. And the Women’s Euro will be held simultaneously at Place de la Palud: the population will be able to watch the draw live on a giant screen from 6 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.
Tea will be offered to those present who will be able to comment in a friendly manner on Switzerland’s chances in this competition as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the different groups in the first round.
For this evening dedicated to football, the Sports Department invited all the clubs in Lausanne and the region to share this moment in the warm holiday atmosphere. Please note that the sound and light projection scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on the Town Hall cannot take place.
The footballers from Lausanne clubs will also be in the spotlight the previous Saturday. Indeed, the players participating in the Christmas Run will wear a unique bib in the colors of the Women’s Euro, which will take place in Switzerland, from July 2 to 27, 2025. The organization wanted, through this symbol, to salute the commitment of these young people in promoting their female sport.
