A surprising name was mixed into transaction rumors by a credible journalist on Tuesday. Could Sam Bennett change address as the Florida Panthers try to defend their title?
It seems absurd: Bennett is one of the centerpieces of the Sunrise team and he has 26 points, including 13 goals, in 28 games this season. However, according to ex-player Nick Kypreos, who has become a well-connected informant in his new career, negotiations are difficult between Bennett and the Panthers.

“There is a chance of Bennett being traded, it’s more than 50-50,” Kypreos said in an article published on the Sportsnet website. There is a football field that separates the two camps in the negotiations.
Obviously, the Panthers will refuse to weaken in the short term in a trade involving Bennett. They will want to get in return a player who can immediately lend them a helping hand.
Kypreos pitched an idea to Panthers general manager Bill Zito.
“Could the Dallas Stars return them [l’attaquant] Mason Marchment?»
Marchment, a big man at 6’5″ and 212 lbs, has amassed 47 points, including 18 goals, in just 54 games in 2021-2022. He set his sights on the Stars when he achieved full autonomy in the summer of 2022.
