Charleroi holds its first winter transfer

Charleroi is experiencing another difficult season, which is once again made up of a fight to avoid the relegation zone.

For the moment, the Carolos are safe in tenth place, but they are tied on points with thirteenth and therefore in danger. For the Zebras, it is therefore essential to take points in the coming weeks.

Take points and strengthen yourself

Then, the club will have to think about reinforcements to try to move up the rankings. The month of January should see one or the other player land in Rik De Mil’s group. The first transfer of the Carolos would already have been acquired.

As Sudinfo announces, Aiham Ousou will commit permanently to Charleroi. The 24-year-old defender arrived at Mambourg this summer, on loan from Slavia Prague. He quickly managed to find a starting place.

Purchase option automatically exercised

Since then, Ousou has made 15 appearances for the club and the option to purchase his rental contract was therefore automatically exercised. The Syrian international is now linked to Sporting until 2028.

For Ousou, this is probably a relief, as it will give him a little more stability after a turbulent few years. In 2021, he was snatched from Häcken by Slavia, but failed to win in the Czech Republic. He has therefore been loaned out several times in recent seasons. He returned to Häcken for a few months and also spent six months in Cádiz last season.
