The Seychelles will host the Beach Soccer World Cup, from May 1 to 11, 2025. An exceptional event for the archipelago, which has among the most beautiful white sand beaches in the world, but only 119,773 inhabitants. The poster for the future beach soccer world cup was presented on Thursday, December 5, 2024, in the presence of a representative of the International Football Federation (FIFA), the Minister of Youth and Sports of Seychelles, Marie -Céline Zialor, the principal secretary of Youth and Sports, Ralph Jean-Louis and the president of the Seychelles Football Federation, Elvis Chetty.
The painting, which illustrates the event, seems to have come out of a book from the 70s. It perfectly represents the host country. Two young players, barefoot, play football on a white sand beach, with the Indian Ocean, coconut trees and two seabirds in the background.
Sixteen nations will be represented. Eight teams are qualified: “Tahiti, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belarus, Senegal and Mauritania”, writes Seychelles News Agency. Eight places are still available. France will not be present. She was eliminated during the second qualifying phases.
