the essential
Castres Olympique has just announced this Thursday, December 5, that it has extended Gauthier Maravat’s contract until 2028.
Quietly but surely, Castres Olympique continues to secure several of its players for the coming seasons. This Thursday, December 5, the Olympian club announced that it had extended Gauthier Maravat’s lease by three years. The second or third line is now linked to the “blue and white” until 2028. “The CO corresponds to the way I see rugby. The proximity with the players, the environment, the managers and the public is very important to me and I couldn’t see myself playing in any other club than this one,” the 24-year-old told the club’s website.

INTERVIEW. Castres Olympique: “I’m not the best but I try to give my best”… Gauthier Maravat speaks with all humility
The former Agen player, who arrived in Tarn in the summer of 2022, very quickly brought his experience to the sidelines, even if he started the season in the shadow of Guillaume Ducat. This season, Lot-et-Garonnais participated in eight matches, including two as starters. “Since I arrived in Tarn, two and a half years ago, I feel that I am progressing, and I want to continue this progression and bring much more to the team. I also appreciate the “identity of the CO. I believe that we work a lot but with humility and that there is a real collective desire here to surpass ourselves to compete with the best.”
