Several Croky Cup matches were on the program this Wednesday. Discover all the results of the 8th finals.
Cercle de Bruges quickly found themselves reduced to 10 against Sint-Truiden, starting their round of 16 very badly. Emmanuel Kakou was sent off in the 7th minute of play. A few minutes later, Ferrari made it 0-1 (10th), and the score would not change. Felice Mazzù’s Canaries are in the quarter-finals.
Folie au Kiel
On the Kiel side, the suspense was complete until the end. Everything happened after the break: Geoffry Hairemans opened the scoring in the 75th minute for KV Mechelen against Beerschot. Antoine Colassin, however, brought the two teams back to level in the 88th minute, forcing overtime.
In these overtimes, again, but in the other direction: Konstantopoulos put the Rats in control, before a Malinois goal signed Bafdili equalized (2-2) despite the expulsion, just before, of Ouattara on the Malinois side. The two teams will be decided on penalties, and it is Beerschot who will advance to the quarter-finals after two Malinois misses (4-3 apt).
Antwerp at the end of boredom
Antwerp also qualified on penalties, but the spectators at the Stade des Eperons d’Or will have seen less spectacle than those at Kiel. It was indeed with a score of 0-0 after 120 minutes that KV Kortrijk and the Great Old headed into the penalty shootout.
As a symbol, it was Toby Alderweireld’s shot which sent Antwerp to the quarter-finals after two Kortrijk misses.
