Jesper Fredberg could well have already found a new challenge after the end of his Anderlecht adventure – All football

Jesper Fredberg, the former CEO Sports of RSC Anderlecht, may already seem to have a new challenge in mind. During an interview with Viaplay, the 43-year-old Dane hinted at a possible return to the Superliga, more precisely to Brøndby IF.

Jesper Fredberg still has a position within the Danish federation, but could well become sports director again soon. The position has been vacant at Brøndby since the departure of Carsten V. Jensen earlier this year. Since then, the Danish club has been looking for a suitable successor.

Fredberg, who left Anderlecht at the beginning of October by mutual agreement, is considered a strong candidate due to his extensive experience in Danish football, notably at Viborg, where he was a successful sporting director for more than three and a half years .

In an interview given to ViaplayFredberg spoke of Brøndby with respect and enthusiasm. “I think Brøndby is a great club. It’s a big platform in Denmark, a big club and a great challenge. It’s something that any sporting director would be attracted to,” he admits.

However, nothing says that Fredberg will return to Denmark straight away, because he is still interested in going abroad. “It’s a question of the project. Of course, working in my country would be a pleasure, but I have learned a lot abroad as well. Everything will depend on the right project at the right time”, temporizes the former CEO Sports of the RSCA .

As for whether there have already been concrete discussions with Brøndby, Fredberg remained vague. “I prefer to keep this to myself for the moment,” he said diplomatically. His experience and connections in Danish football make Jesper Fredberg a logical choice for the Vestegn club, and the answer should soon be known…
