Towards a derby without Rennes supporters on Sunday in Nantes

-, Sunday, will not be completely full since the space usually occupied by the Brigade will be closed. A precautionary decision from the LFP disciplinary committee last Wednesday, following the incidents during Nantes- (0-2, December), a match interrupted twice after various objects were thrown at the lawn. The case has also been put under investigation with a verdict expected on December 18.

The visitors’ parking lot should also be empty for this derby ranked 4 out of 5 on the risk scale by the National Division for the Fight against Hooliganism, i.e. serious risks of disturbances to public order linked to chronic disputes between supporters or the presence of certain supporters at risk. Last season, the movement of Rennes supporters to Beaujoire was supervised and limited to 500 places.

The Rennes ultras had boycotted this trip, but there had been attempts to fight on the outward and return journey between ultras according to the prefectural decree taken this Tuesday, which prohibits any person claiming to be a supporter of the Stadium Rennes access to Beaujoire. A ministerial decree banning travel should also go in this direction, but could be attacked by the National Association of Supporters before the Council of State, and perhaps suspended, like the one which affected Nantes supporters in on Saturday last.
