It didn’t take long for Oscar Garcia to find a new challenge. Only ten days after his dismissal from Louvain, the Spanish coach signed up with the Mexican club Chivas.
Garcia arrives in Mexico
After disappointing results and numerous disagreements with his leaders, it was decided that Garcia would be fired from his position as coach of Leuven at the end of November. A choice not really surprising knowing that the 55-year-old coach already wanted to leave for Ludogorets in the middle of October.
It is ultimately in Mexico that Garcia will continue his career. At Chivas, he will have under his command players like Chicharito Hernandez (ex-Manchester United), Omar Govea (ex-Zulte-Waregem) and Erick Gutierrez (ex-PSV).
A great club
Outside of Europe, Chivas is considered a top club and a big name. After the first half of the season, the Mexican club occupies 9th place in the ranking. A catastrophic situation for this club accustomed to playing leading roles in Mexico.
