ELMS 2025 – An ever more qualitative entry list!

And yes, once again, the choices were difficult. And once again, the ACO had to convene a Selection Committee when establishing the list of entrants for the 2025 ELMS season as there were so many requests. There are happy people, there are disappointed people, but one thing is certain: the board is of high quality. Quality but also quantity.

???????? ELMS 2025 Season : record-breaking number of cars and manufacturers

Third and not finished this year despite two victories and a trio Fluxa / Jakobsen / Miyata untouchable or almost on paper, CLX Motorsport (new name of Cool Racing) is at it again with two cars in LMP2 for trios apparently of the highest order, even if only the gentlemen drivers have been made official for the moment, namely Manuel Espirito Santo (LMP3 defector) and Alex Malykhin, who disgusted the competition in 2024 in WEC, in LMGT3.

But the competition will be tough, particularly from IDEC Sport. The French team will field two Oreca 07s for the first time, one of which will be used by Genesis to prepare for its arrival in Endurance by 2026. Of the latter, which wears No. 18, only the Briton Jamie Chadwick has been announced. The sister car will be entrusted to Paul Lafargue.

Officialized yesterday in IMSA, Tom Dillmann leaves for a double program with Inter Europol Competition since he is registered in the No. 43 alongside Jakub Smiechowski. Finally, on the side of VDS Panis Racing (note the name change), Charles Milesi is leaving for a new campaign.

François Perrodo and Matthieu Vaxiviere put their crown on the line in LMP2 Pro-Am, still accompanied by Alessio Rovera. But they will have a hard time facing Schneider / Jarvis / Sato (United Autosports) or Lentoudis / Quinn / Caldwell (Algarve Pro Racing), to name a few.

On the regret side, we will deplore the absence of the Oreca 07 of the RD Limited, which will debut in Endurance this weekend at Sepang, scene of the opening round of the 2024-25 Asian Series campaign. AO Racing is not really putting its title back on the line since only one car is expected, in LMP2 Pro/Am.

The good news in LMP3 comes from the presence of a Ginetta G61-LT. Fielded by DKR Engineering, it will notably face a Duqueine and a horde of eight Ligier JS P325s. We welcome the presence of two French teams, namely Ultimate and M Racing.

In LMGT3, it’s also difficult to pull a name out of the hat. We will note the presence of several women, since the Gatting / Bovy / Martin association (Porsche 911 GT3 R / Iron Dames ⬆️) is added Lilou Wadoux, who will share the wheel of Richard Mille’s Ferrari 296 LMGT3 n°50 AF Corse with Custodio Toledo and Riccardo Agostini.

Ferrari, which will also be the best-represented manufacturer in the category with seven cars compared to two for Porsche, one for Aston Martin, one for Mercedes-AMG, one for McLaren and one for Corvette! The last three brands mentioned which will make their debut in ELMS thanks to Iron Lynx, United Autosports and TF Sport respectively.

As a reminder, the 2025 season will offer six rounds and will open on April 6, with the 4 Hours of Barcelona, in Spain. Then head to Paul Ricard, Imola, Spa, Silverstone and Portimao.
