TRANSFERS: “Bruges hits hard, Anderlecht gets busy”

The summer transfer window is already far behind, but the winter transfer period is fast approaching. Many teams are busy preparing their plans and coaching changes are also increasing.

Pro League: Anderlecht and Antwerp on the move

Olivier Renard will soon be questioned by the Anderlecht Fan Council. Mauves supporters want to know the club’s intentions for the winter transfer window. After the departure of Jesper Fredberg, they are waiting for a new sporting direction. Anderlecht would especially seek to strengthen defensively.

For its part, Antwerp made a prestigious transfer with the arrival of Dennis Praet, former Golden Shoe. However, the midfielder is struggling to establish himself at The Great Old. Always in search of his best form, he does not meet the high expectations placed on him. Is a quick departure possible for Praet?

Cercle de Bruges has decided to part ways with Miron Muslic after disappointing results, including a painful defeat against bottom side Beerschot. If this decision was not well received by the supporters, Jimmy De Wulf took over in the interim while waiting for a successor.

Club Brugge, for its part, recorded a promising signing: the young Argus Vanden Driessche, 17, signed a contract until 2027. Considered a potential successor to Simon Mignolet, the Club NXT goalkeeper joins a list of extensions, including Axl De Corte and Kyiani Vroman.

Elsewhere in Europe: ambitions of Madrid and City

Real Madrid are preparing to be active on the transfer market after mixed results this season. The club have reportedly identified four main targets to strengthen the right-back position: Pedro Porro (Tottenham), Jeremie Frimpong (Bayer Leverkusen), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) and Diogo Dalot (Manchester United).

Manchester City is going through a complicated period with a series of unexpected defeats under Pep Guardiola. To remedy this, the club could invest massively this winter. The Scandinavian duo Erling Haaland – Viktor Gyökeres, Swedish revelation from Sporting CP, is an idea that appeals to managers.
