Alessandro Alunni Bravi was delighted to see Stake F1 finally open its counter. These are the first points for the team with this name, and above all, Guanyu Zhou’s eighth place is the first top 10 of the year for a team which has had a very difficult season.
“This Sunday in Qatar was an important day in Doha for our team. Guanyu’s eighth place is a result that means a lot to us and reflects the immense effort of our employees in Hinwil, those here on track and our shareholders ” said the team representative.
“It was a difficult race where every detail counted. Guanyu drove superbly, managing his tires well and staying in control, while our change in strategy to extend his stint and stop under the safety car on lap 35 ended “His strong pace on hard tires ensured this important result for him and the team.”
“Valtteri [Bottas] also contributed strongly to our result, finishing just outside the points in 11th place. His early stop allowed us to gather crucial data on the hard tires, which benefited Guanyu’s strategy. Unfortunately, he was pushed by Lawson on the restart, which damaged his flat bottom and effectively cost us the chance of a double points score.”
Alunni Bravi also thanks Stake’s partners, who helped bring the team to this level: “We are grateful to all our partners and to Ferrari for their support. We still have a lot of work to do, but if we continue with this intensity, we can look forward to a brighter future.”
