It’s a funny story that was written within the PSG women’s team. After the departure of Jocelyn Prêcheur on the bench of the Parisian team, the management was looking for a new coach capable of challenging all the teams in the championship. The club had asked for a person whose experience in women’s football was acquired, able to achieve big performances against its competitor, OL. The new technician finally arrived, he is French, he is also a former OM player.

The club announced the appointment of Fabrice Abriel as head coach of the women’s team, until June 2026. A former player trained at Paris Saint-Germain, Fabrice Abriel took his first steps in the elite of French football with the Parisian jersey. However, he also played for Marseille between 2009 and 2011. After his career as a professional footballer, he finally turned to a career as a coach, with many experiences.

He started at FC Gobelins, then in the staffs of the French military team and the Amiens Training Center. In 2020, he became assistant coach of the FC Fleury 91 women’s team, before being promoted to the number one position at the end of the season. This is how he began his career as a head coach.

Under his leadership, the Fleury club ranked 4th in the D1 Arkema championship in 2022-2023, then 5th last season. Happy to have been chosen, the Suresnes native will have to write a new page in the history of the capital club, but this time as a coach.
