Cardona and Mbuku resume training

It’s July 7th, the day ASSE resumes training. The opportunity to see a new face with Yunis Abdelhamid. However, other players are no longer there, having gone far away from Saint-Étienne. This is the case for Cardona and Mbuku who are back in Augsburg.

It’s back to school time

It’s been a month now since ASSE was promoted to Ligue 1. A moment of immense joy for every Saint-Etienne supporter. This promotion is due to the work of an entire team. Indeed, Olivier Dall’Oglio was able to remobilize his troops who had their heads under water to have a very high level second half of the season.

Among the essential elements, Dylan Chambost. He is quite simply the most used player under the Dall’Oglio era. The tireless midfielder will have had a considerable influence on the game. Today, he has left for the United States in the Columbus Crew club. A new challenge is offered to him with a first experience abroad

Cardona and Mbuku back in training with Augsburg

The two attackers loaned by Augsburg during the second half of the season have returned to Germany. Both players are under contract until 2027 with their club.

Also very important within the ASSE collective, they have never hidden their desire to stay in Saint-Étienne. But, negotiations are currently difficult between the two clubs. However, Augsburg has already started its transfer window with the arrival of several players with an offensive vocation.

It was therefore only natural that they returned to training in Augsburg. They can be seen several times in their club photos doing preparation work in the gym.

The German championship will resume on the weekend of August 23. That’s a week after Ligue 1. We will certainly know at that time about the future of these two players.

For now, ASSE can rely on the arrival of a recruit. Yunis Abdelhamid is officially the first arrival under the Kilmer Sports Ventures umbrella.
