While the men’s section is well assured by Luis Enrique, who had a reassuring first season, the women’s section of the Parisian club will experience a change. While the outgoing Jocelyn Prêcheur has left for England, the club from the French capital has seen fit to call on its former central midfielder, Fabrice Abriel, to take charge of the women’s team of the Rouge et Bleu.

“Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to announce the appointment of Fabrice Abriel as head coach of the women’s team. The French coach has signed with the capital club until June 2026.”PSG said in an official statement.

Fabrice’s reaction

Former coach of Fleury 91 and former player of Olympique de Marseille, the native of Suresnes (Hauts-de-Seine) did not hide his joy to take charge of the PSG first team. As a reminder, under the direction of Fabrice Abriel, the Fleury club ranked 4th of the D1 Arkema championship in 2022 and 2023, then 5th last season. Which motivated Paris to trust its former player.

I was lucky enough to be trained here and to have started as a professional with this jersey. Today, I am proud to return and I am happy to have the opportunity to give back to Paris Saint-Germain what it has given me. I am eager to start working with this group of extremely talented players, who can only be ambitious for the seasons to come.”said Fabrice Abriel, new coach of the Paris Saint-Germain women’s team.
