The secret was impossible to keep for so long. The French Federation was not authorized to officially transmit its list for the Olympic Games before the official announcement of the CNOSF, Monday afternoon. The information logically leaked on Sunday afternoon, while the two interested parties had already been informed that they were leaving the French group.

Vincent Collet and his staff have made the final cuts in their group of twelve for the Olympic Games. After letting go of Jaylen Hoard and Nadir Hifi, they informed playmaker Théo Maledon and guard Elie Okobo, who had played the last two international campaigns, that they would not be part of the Olympic adventure in Paris (July 26 – August 11).

Nando De Colo’s physical condition is reassuring

A choice that is partly explained for Okobo by the choice to keep Nando De Colo, whose physical condition has reassured. Théo Maledon had shown an excellent face in each of his outings, whether in defense or in aggression. Vincent Collet preferred Matthew Strazel, who started in the first two preparation matches won by the Blues against Turkey (96-46) and in Germany (90-66).

Barring any unexpected events or injuries, the twelve for the Olympic Games are known: Andrew Albicy, Frank Ntilikina, Matthew Strazel, Nando De Colo, Evan Fournier, Bilal Coulibaly, Isaïa Cordinier, Nicolas Batum, Guerschon Yabusele, Victor Wembanyama, Rudy Gobert, Mathias Lessort.
