The countdown is on! The prestigious gala of CAF Awards 2024scheduled for Monday, December 16 in Marrakech, promises to be an unmissable event. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) recently revealed the names of the five finalist clubs vying to win the coveted title of best African club of the year.
Among the contenders, Al Ahly favorite share. The Egyptian giant made history by winning the African Champions Leaguebringing his total to 12 victories. However, the competition remains open: Mamelodi Sundownsrecent winners of the very first edition of theAfrican Football League in November 2023, could well play spoilsport.
Other emblematic clubs complete this prestigious list. THE Zamalek (Egypt), crowned champion of the CAF Cupthe RS Berkane (Morocco), finalist of this same competition, and the legendary team ofEsperance Sportive de Tunis (Tunisia), finalist of the Champions League, bring a touch of excellence to this selection.
