Ruud van Nistelrooy is appointed head of Leicester, Bilal El Khannouss’ club. The Dutchman acted as interim manager at Manchester United between the dismissal of Erik Ten Hag and the appointment of Ruben Amorim.

The Foxes, who recently dismissed Welshman Steve Cooper, currently sit 16th in the Premier League table. Van Nistelrooy’s main mission will therefore be to keep them there.

In the Premier League, Leicester, promoted last season, finds itself 2 points from the relegation zone. The club has only 10 points to its name and has won only 2 of its first 12 matches in the English championship. It’s been 4 games since they haven’t won, including a defeat against Manchester United, then coached by… Van Nistelrooy.

Bilal El Khannouss, who joined the Foxes this summer from Genk, has 8 appearances in the Premier League, including 3 as a starter. Ironically, Van Nistelrooy was the coach of PSV with Ismael Saibari in the ranks of the Eindhoven club. Then, the Batavian technician was the coach of Noussair Mazraoui at United.
