This is the returning from a derby which had ceased to host the Loire-Atlantique district championships since 2018. At the end of this season, ES Vallet climbed to D1, while Etoile de Mouzillon would experience relegation to D3.

Returned from the end of last seasonthe Reds find their neighbors this year in their D2 group, with, this Saturday at the end of the afternoon (kick-off at 6 p.m.), the first act of the derby between the two teams in Vallete lands.

Do not see in this unusual schedule in the district championships a desire to glorify this meeting between neighbors!

It’s our habit to play on Saturday evenings. In fact, I want to do everything so that this match is taken like all the others, without making it a priority. I learned through my experiences that some players could foil in derbies by putting too much pressure on themselves. It shouldn’t have any particular flavor even if we expect a match with more people and perhaps a little more electric.

Mixed start with promoted Mouzillon

However, with six descents this year, we have a one in two chance of finishing in the wrong car.”

Faced with its neighbor, the Etoile de Mouzillon, which already has to face an avalanche of injurieswill also have to deal with various unavailability.

Vallet in good momentum

On the Vallet side, the signals are more positive after a more than dull start to the season. The Blues, who had suffered three defeats in the first four matches, regained color in November even if their ranking remains far from the stated objectives.

“We were unable to maintain the good momentum from last season,” concedes Sullyvan Hadjres. But we have reorganized things over the last few matches. We were able to reshape the group with our young people and as a result, we no longer lose.”

In a homogeneous pool where four small units separate the 5^e from 10^e after a third of the championship, each point will have its importance, whether it is won against its neighbor or against another team.
