Lendl, a naturalized American Czechoslovak at the end of his career, had made an impression during his first real coaching experience, with Andy Murray, from 2012. Their adventure, which had earned the Scot a milestone big cap, was also made of breaks, but it lasted until 2023. Lendl also collaborated with Alexander Zverev, straddling the seasons 2018-2019.
