Europe and the world are the new playground for Pays de la Loire drivers! Present for the first time in the European Championship, Pascal Huteau discovered a new universe this year. On the most famous circuits of the Old Continent, the Alpine driver did not let himself be overcome by emotion, winning the Am title in the GT4 category even before the last races of the weekend in Saudi Arabia.
A dense program
Europe also saw Former Esteban Masson (20 years old) measure himself against the endurance benchmarks in the European Le Mans Series this time.
Crowned vice-champion in GT3 aboard a Ferrari 296, the competitor raised the bar even higher in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). The presence of a Loire pilot at this level is a first. The learning process was also carried out in LMGT3, but this time on a Lexus.
A dense program which saw the Habs test the Toyota hypercar this fall during the Rookie Test. For Esteban Masson, the rest is already being written in the Asian Le Mans Series this winter, with a first race at Sepang in Malaysia next month, in the No. 57 Ferrari.
At the same time, the driver completed his first laps in IMSA in the United States, with a view to participating in the next 24 Hours of Daytona (January 25 and 26) in a Lexus.
This year again, attention was focused on the debut in the Supercup (international Porsche Cup championship) of Andréanais Victor Bernier, before a probable participation in the 24 hours of Dubai, mid-January.
Finally, in rally raid, Nantes resident Jérémy Athimon (co-driver on a Porsche 964 DKR) is preparing to take on the challenge of a 4e Dakar Classic on the slopes of Saudi Arabia, this winter (January 3 to 17). From circuits to tracks, the internationalization of regional drivers is underway.
