Last Friday, the Randonnées gâtinaises association held its general meeting, an opportunity to look back on the highlights of this year which saw the play “In vino veritas” acclaimed by the public and to look forward to the years to come.

Led by Mayor Eric Chevalier, president of Randonnées gâtinaises until 2026, and Jacky Prêt, secretary, the meeting recalled the importance of the association which flies high the colors of rurality in the five communes of Viennay, La Chapelle-Bertrand, Lageon, Amailloux and Saint-Germain-de-Longue-Chaume. This year, the show took place at La Chapelle-Bertrand. As it turns out, it will be held in 2026 in Saint-Germain-de-LongueChaume specifies Eric Chevalier.

“Conviviality, the very essence of the association”

Whether it was Jacky Prêt or the mayor-president, both men recalled that Originally, the association was just a hiking association. Its objective has evolved with the animation of the territory. Also, we must change the statutes and dust them off. This will be done in 2025.”

The association offers, every two years, a show imagined by the writing unit which makes up the hard core and brings new shows to the surface. This is the way to unite the villages around this artistic creation.they recall. The team is already planning to write the 2026 show, writing which will begin next year .

Eric Chevalier and Jacky Prêt also highlighted the importance of volunteers on Friday evening. It’s very simple, without them, who don’t count their time, these little hands who work in the shadows, a hundred in all, we couldn’t do much. So again a big thank you to everyone.”

Jacky Prêt and Eric Chevalier showed up delighted with the involvement of young people. It warms the heart. The mix of generations contributes to this very good atmosphere where we take pleasure in meeting up, being together and playing. This is the very essence of the association.”

Based on this observation, the association has decided to maintain its membership prices, namely €5 for individuals, €7 for couples and €100 for municipalities. The association is making good progress. She traces her path to the heart of her beautiful Gâtine.
