At the very beginning of July, the motorcycle world championship caravan sets its wheels in Germany, at a time when the Euro 2024 football tournament is in full swing, with the quarter-finals taking place on Friday and Saturday. To get there, MotoGP only had to cross one border, following the Dutch Grand Prix held last weekend.

Coming from the Assen circuit in the north-east of the Netherlands, the riders headed east of Germany, very close to the Czech Republic, to meet at the Sachsenring track. Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) is the man in form at the moment, with his recent successes at the Italian and Dutch GPs having allowed him to reduce his deficit to championship leader Jorge Martin (Ducati Pramac) to just 10 points.

From July 5 to 7, the German Grand Prix is the 9th meeting of the season, the last before the summer break in force until the beginning of August. In the absence of a time difference, the program includes qualifying from 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, before the sprint race launched at 3 p.m., while the start of Sunday’s Grand Prix is scheduled for 2 p.m.
