Cyclist Houcine Sabahi was crowned Moroccan champion in the individual event on Sunday, during the third and final day of the Moroccan Road Cycling Championships.

Houcine Sabahi, a cyclist representing the Boughaz Tangier club, managed to be crowned on Sunday in the individual event, succeeding Achraf Ed-Doghmi (Kawkab Marrakech), defending champion in the last two editions.
Sabahi covered the 169.8 kilometres in 4h4’38”, ahead of Oussama Khafi (Faucons du Sahara Laâyoune) in 4h4’49” and Ibrahim Sahabi (Club Boughaz Tangier) with the same time. The title of the individual event in the U23 category went to Ibrahim Sabahi (4h4’49”), followed by Idriss Alouani (Ismailia de Meknès), who achieved a time of 4h11’55”, and Salah Fakir (Club Khouribga de cyclisme).
In the junior category, the title was won by Marouane Kharbouchi (Kawkab Marrakech), who covered the 84.9 km distance in 2h16’16”, a second title after the time trial he won last Friday. The last day of these championships, organized under the auspices of the International Cycling Union, saw the participation of 197 senior riders, 99 juniors and 41 hopefuls.
The 2024 edition of the Moroccan Road Cycling Championships was marked by record participation from associations affiliated to the Royal Moroccan Cycling Federation and allowed the discovery of promising new talents likely to strengthen the ranks of the national team.
