Discover the starting grid for the 22nd Grand Prix of the 2024 Formula 1 season.

Until the end of the qualifying session, the starting order for the Las Vegas Grand Prix was undecided. Four teams fought for pole, exchanging the best times over the three qualifying segments. Finally, it was George Russell who hit the jackpot in Las Vegas. The Briton, fast since the start of the weekend, took his 4th pole position in Formula 1, the third of the season. At the start of the Grand Prix (Sunday, 7 a.m.), he will start in front of Carlos Sainz and Pierre Gasly, exceptional third!

At Red Bull, feelings are – as often – mixed. If Max Verstappen was able to shine with a Red Bull that has been in difficulty since the start of the weekend (5th), Sergio Pérez experienced another complicated session. The Mexican went out in Q1 for the sixth time this season already. An elimination which is difficult and which increasingly calls into question his place at Red Bull next season. As a symbol, it was Liam Lawson, his possible successor, who took him out of the qualified drivers' zone in the final moments.

The New Zealander represents the bright future of Formula 1 like Franco Colapinto, even if the Argentinian's image will be somewhat damaged by his big mistake at the end of Q2. While he was pushing to try to get into Q3, the number 43 made a mistake at very high speed, completely destroying his Williams. After two very costly crashes in Brazil, Colapinto is generating significant new costs for his team as budgets become increasingly tight as the end of the season approaches.

His crash allowed Pierre Gasly to enter Q3, unlike Esteban Ocon, 11th. In the last qualifications sergeant, Lewis Hamilton missed twice and will start 10th. Lando Norris is 6th and will start from the third row alongside… Max Verstappen, his rival for the title.
