“We need it, otherwise we’re dead”. In an interview with RMC radio on Thursday, November 21, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi reviewed the issue of the sale of the Parc des Princes. “I really like the Park, everyone loves it. If I listen to my heart, we won't leave (…). ButThe city leaves us no choice.”insisted the president of PSG, who already announced in February that the move of his club was inevitable, the Paris town hall not being a seller.
“We need a stadium ready in 3-4 years. We have no time to lose, otherwise we are behind other clubs in Europe. Everyone has stadiums with 80,000, 90,000 seats (compared to 48,000 in the historic enclosure). We need to build as quickly as possible.”supported the president of PSG, evoking “some options” without naming them.
The Parc des Princes is the stadium in which Paris Saint-Germain has played all its home matches since 1974. Before welcoming Toulouse on Friday, it has played 1,205 matches in this setting having also been the scene of the French teams football and rugby union.
