Ivan Demidov guaranteed to arrive in Montreal with Sacha Boisvert: TVA Sports hits hard

TVA Sports has confirmed that Russian forward Ivan Demidov is virtually guaranteed to travel to Montreal, a few hours before the NHL draft.

Sacha Boisvert is also expected in the Quebec metropolis. For Kent Hughes, general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, this situation could make him a hero by selecting a player very appreciated by the fans.

Journalist Anthony Martineau revealed this information on the social network X (formerly Twitter). According to rumors, the Blackhawks are hesitating between choosing Demidov or Artyom Levshunov in second position.

If Ivan Demidov is still available during the draft, according to several sources, he would be the first choice of the Montreal Canadiens. Demidov reportedly had a positive meeting with the team.

“Kent Hughes was as interested in Demidov’s personality as his style of play and his potential”specified Anthony Martineau.

In Las Vegas, Demidov also spoke with the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Seattle Kraken.

Furthermore, Cayden Lindstrom should no longer be available at 5th place.

“The interest of many teams, especially those in the top 4, increased considerably after receiving reassuring medical information on Lindstrom’s back”explained Martineau.

Rumors strongly suggest that Cayden Lindstrom could be selected in the top 5, with the Blue Jackets having shown strong interest in him and the Philadelphia Flyers pushing hard to get him.

Quebecer Sacha Boisvert has reportedly made a strong impression on the Canadiens. Recruiter Serge Boisvert attended Boisvert’s last two practices in Trois-Rivières.

“According to my sources, Nick Bobrov was totally charmed by the interview with Sacha at the Combine”Martineau reported.

Ivan Demidov and Sacha Boisvert in Montreal…TVA Sports CALL…

If this happens, will Martineau be called the NEW TVA SPORTS INFORMANT? It must be said that he is not the only one to assure that Demidov will be a member of the Montreal Canadiens.

The Chicago Blackhawks appear determined to select Artyom Levshunov with the second overall pick. General manager Kyle Davidson said he already knows which player he’s going to select, and all signs point to it being the Belarusian defenseman.

Meanwhile, the Anaheim Ducks appear to be moving on to another defenseman, likely Zeev Buium or Anton Silayev. The Columbus Blue Jackets are expected to select Cayden Lindstrom.

The odds are high that Ivan Demidov will become a member of the Montreal Canadiens, just like Cayden Lindstrom. Fans will have the Blackhawks and Artyom Levshunov to thank if that happens.

We thank him now. And we will print Demidov’s name on the back of the Montreal Canadiens jersey…

To be continued…
