ATP > Jannik Sinner: “I find it unhealthy. You give an image of yourself that does not represent reality. It is a form of lying. I prefer to live without it”

Born into an ultra-connected generation, Jannik Sinner is a bit of a UFO compared to his colleagues on the circuit.

If the Italian does have a personal account on several applications, it is above all for form and his sponsorship contracts and never to expose his private life. And that is to his credit.

In one of The Team Magazinethe new world number 1 explained why he was reluctant to this practice which had become so common.

“For a very simple reason: social networks are not real life! Tomorrow, I can post a photo of myself with a big smile while at the very moment I publish it I’m brooding. Except that people won’t see it. All they’ll say is that I’m happy all the time, which is obviously not true. I find it unhealthy. You give an image of yourself that does not represent reality. It’s a form of lying. Should we trust what we are shown on social media? So, frankly, I prefer to live without it. I don’t need to read what people write about me, I don’t think about it and I like my life without networks, as I live it now. »
