After being shut out by the Montreal Canadiens 3-0 on Monday night, the Edmonton Oilers bounced back with a convincing 5-2 victory against the Senators on Tuesday in Ottawa.

Oilers captain Connor McDavid led the charge with two goals and an assist. He has 14 points, including six goals, in his last six games.

Leon Draisaitl and Evan Bouchard each had a goal and two assists for the Oilers, who won their fourth game in their last six.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored the other goal for the Alberta team and Vasily Podkolzin collected two assists. Stuart Skinner stopped 27 shots.

Tim Stützle and Josh Norris responded for the Senators, beaten in a third straight game.

Nick Jensen assisted on both goals and Linus Ullmark made 27 saves.
