The Congolese TP Mazembe qualified for the final of the CAF Women’s Champions League (Morocco-2024) by beating the Nigerian Edo Queens with a score of 3 goals to 1 after extra time (regular time: 1-1 ), in the semi-final played Tuesday at the Larbi Zaouli stadium in Casablanca.
The Nigerians from Edo Queens opened the scoring through Ededem Essien (65th), before Merveille Kanjinga equalized (90th). Comfort Folorunsho (90+11th) and Marlene Yave Kasaj (90+18th, sp) gave TP Mazembe the advantage during extra time.
For the second semi-final of the competition, the AS FAR women’s team faces the Egyptians of FC Masar.
