Jegou-Auradou affair. A request for recusal of the judge sent by the plaintiff’s lawyers

New twist in the Jegou-Auradou affair. According to our colleagues from the Parisian the plaintiff’s lawyer, Natacha Romano, reportedly filed this Tuesday, November 19, a request for recusal of the judge in charge of the case, Eleonora Arenas, for “latent risk of lack of impartiality”.

Little chance of success

This request, mentioned in a seven-page document, reports The Parisian, comes a few days before the dismissal hearing, scheduled for Monday, November 25, which could withdraw all charges against the two French players Oscar Jegou and Hugo Auradou in the case. The hearing had already been postponed several times by the Argentine courts.

Hugo Auradou and Oscar Jegou were indicted for aggravated rape in a meeting on the night of July 6 to 7, for alleged acts of aggravated rape in a meeting that occurred in Mendoza (Argentina) on the sidelines of a match of the team of Rugby won against Argentina (28-13).
