If it refused to release Warren Zaire-Emery and Bradley Barcola, who are already playing in Euro 2024, PSG gave the green light to Spain to select Arnau Tenas for the Paris Olympics. Achraf Hakimi should also have the green light from the club.

PSG will be represented at the Paris Olympics during the men’s football tournament (July 24-August 9). The club’s third goalkeeper, Arnau Tenas (23 years old) is in fact part of the pre-list of 22 players announced this Wednesday by Spanish Olympic coach Santiago Denia. A list which will have to be reduced to 18 names in a few days, but Tenas is expected to be the starting goalkeeper of Rojita during the Olympics and will normally be in the final list.

Note that the Olympic coach confirmed at a press conference that all the players on his list were available and had been authorized by their clubs to participate in the competition. PSG had already made it known that it would decide on a case-by-case basis for the Olympics. After refusing to release Zaire-Emery (18 years old) and Barcola (21 years old), two executives of Luis Enrique already summoned to the France A team for the Euro, PSG therefore agreed to let its third goalkeeper play the Olympics, he who is not part of Spain’s list for the Euro.

PSG should release Hakimi for the Olympics

A second PSG player should participate in the Olympics in the person of Achraf Judge (25 years old), which Morocco wants to summon (each country can summon three players aged over 23). Hakimi played two qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup with Morocco in early June, but did not follow up with a major international competition afterwards. At the end of May, L’Equipe announced that PSG intended to authorize him to participate in the Paris Olympics. The Moroccan list has not yet been revealed.

Note that Arnau Tenas’s Spain will play its first match of the Olympics on July 24 against Uzbekistan (3 p.m.) at the Parc des Princes.
